Recent studies show a significant increase in the number of violent acts committed by young Iranian girls, Iran’s Vice President for Women and Family Affairs Masoumeh Ebtekar said recently.
“The Ministry of Health and Medical Education has set up family clinics to address the increasing level of violence among young people, particularly girls,” said the Vice President.
“We need to tackle this problem by educating our youths and managing the psychological impact of puberty,” she explained.
“We can help young married couples. For instance, a study has shown that exercise or involvement sports is one of the most effective tools for curbing violence,” Ebtekar added.
“Unfortunately, many elementary schools do not have a physical education teacher on their faculty. No one seems concerned about this,” she said.
